About the Baby Bank
The Baby Bank was founded in 2019 by Kayleigh and Simon Powell. The West Berkshire Community Baby Bank quickly developed into a vital community resource. In 2021, the Baby Bank was gifted to Home-Start West Berkshire and we are delighted to be able to continue the good work of Kayleigh and her team.
We accept good-quality second-hand clothes and equipment for babies and children up to the age of 5 and get them to families in extreme need. We support families within the West Berkshire area covering Tilehurst Village through to Hungerford town.
Access to The Baby Bank is based on third-party referral by professionals such as community midwives, health visitors and family support workers.
