For some very crazy reason I have decided to take part in Ratrace this year! Ratrace is the world’s largest assault course and I will be undertaking the Full Mucker which is 20 miles and 200 obstacles. I will be undertaking this amazing feat on May 11th so not long! For an idea of just how crazy this is then have a look at this video: https://youtu.be/ZT41lOsI_o0
For those of you who know me well, you will know that one of the greatest challenges for me will be the camping the evening before the event and the evening after the event (imagine being grubby, tired after leaping, climbing, crawling and running all day with no hot bath at the end!) This will push me to my limits! In all seriousness, the crazy decision to take part has a been to raise money for a fantastic Family Support Charity- Home-Start West Berkshire. This project supports families whose daily lives are affected by poverty, poor mental health and isolation. It recognises that the difficulties faced by parents have a huge impact on the children. Children only get one childhood and Home-Start are working with families to make sure it is a positive one, enabling them to grow and thrive into resilient young people. So please sponsor me! Every penny is match funded by Greenham Trust so even small amounts can add up to make a big difference. Thank you for your support. Grace Ryder
